Voice Acting
In my third year of university, I completed on module of voice acting with Tanya Rich. Throughout this module I learned various techniques, such as how to control my breathing to avoid unwanted microphone noise, the best equipment for setting up a home studio and how to convey strong emotions using only my voice.
My commercial reel includes two contrasting commercials that I worked on during the module. I improved significantly through one-on-one sessions with Tanya, where the main feedback I received was the importance of connecting with the words I speak. I experimented with different techniques to achieve this, and the most effective approach was using imagination—it helped me create vivid mental images that made my delivery more authentic.
Looking ahead, I plan to refine this skill further to strengthen my performance. I also aim to enhance my vocal techniques by introducing more variation in pitch and tone, making me a more versatile voice actor suited for different roles in the industry. Additionally, I want to practice character voices by dubbing animations, as this will expand my range and open up more opportunities in the future.
